The ruins and the remains of the buildings of the colonial period can still be seen in Galle, especially the Galle Fort built by the Dutch on the ruins of a Portuguese fortress. The Marine Museum in the Galle Fort is Worth a Visit to explore the many artifacts retrieved from the seas off the Southern coast.
